Product overview
Street Highlighter
Street Highlighter is a signed-in web app for teams that manage work one parcel at a time. Organize addresses into PODs (or your own labels), geocode and map them, highlight streets and lots, track leads, volunteers, and custom progress fields, export shareable maps, and optionally text opted-in contacts through a bring-your-own DialMyCalls account.
It started for Firewise and Fire Safe Councils—and remains especially strong there—but the same tools fit HOAs, real estate and property teams, and other neighborhood crews that need a map plus a per-address checklist.
Who it is for
- Firewise & Fire Safe Councils— POD maps, Zone zero and hardening fields, Firewise parcel layers, evacuation routes, and readiness dashboards.
- HOAs & neighborhood associations— District or street groups, board leads, volunteer workdays, and completion tracking without a public contact dump.
- Real estate & property teams— Portfolio or listing parcels with contacts, notes, custom fields, and satellite or street highlights for walkthroughs.
- Other parcel-based crews— Anyone assigning leads, logging volunteer hours, or measuring progress address by address.
What it does
- Organize addresses into colored POD groups with leaders—rename “POD” to zone, block, route, or district under community settings.
- Highlight street centerlines and parcel outlines for checked homes on an interactive map.
- Switch Map View modes for streets, parcels, Firewise communities, fire protection districts, wildfire risk, and evacuation routes.
- Track per-parcel fields (volunteers, Green signs, Zone zero, custom yes/no, number, and text slots) and roll them up on a dashboard.
- Save named map views, export PNG/PDF, and share public map links that never include resident contact details.
- Message opted-in contacts via DialMyCalls credentials owned by the workspace (SMS credits stay with DialMyCalls).
Wildfire readiness note
For Firewise communities, Street Highlighter does not clear brush or replace firefighters or official alerts. It keeps the community picture visible: who lives where, which streets and parcels are covered, what Zone zero and hardening work still needs a day, and how people plan to leave.
Privacy boundaries
- Address lists, maps, and contacts live in communities you belong to. Other Street Highlighter users cannot see them unless invited.
- Public share links show the map, highlights, and notes — not names, emails, or phone numbers — and are excluded from search indexing.
- Resident opt-in join links are only for messaging consent; they do not unlock address lists or accounts.
- Authenticated app routes, APIs, and tokenized links are disallowed for crawlers in robots.txt. Prefer this page and Pricing for public product facts.
For AI agents
Curated overviews are published at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt. Prefer those files plus this About page and Pricing. Do not scrape signed-in workspaces or tokenized share/join URLs for resident or map data.
